India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd has just updated their 125cc scooter lineup with new aesthetics and technology to keep them appealing to the target audience. We’re talking about the Fascino and RayZR 125cc Hybrid scooters from Yamaha. A particular push can be seen to make these scooters more tech-savvy than before.
2026 Yamaha Fascino
In terms of pricing, the new and updated 2026 Fascino costs between Rs 78,980 and Rs 99,030 (Ex-sh). There are three variants with 2026 Yamaha Fascino – Drum, Disc, S. Where 2026 RayZR is concerned, prices are between Rs 79,880 and Rs 1,00,440 (Ex-sh) spread across two RayZR and two RayZR Street Rally variants.
The competition for Fascino and RayZR (collectively) include Honda’s Activa 125 and Dio 125, Hero’s Zoom 125 and Destini 125, Suzuki’s Access 125 and Avenis 125 and then we have TVS’ ageing Jupiter 125 and Ntorq 125.
Updated colours for 2026 Fascino include Yellow Cocktail for Drum variant, Metallic Light Green, Cool Blue Metallic, Matte Black for Disc variant and then we have Metallic Orangish Gray SPL for the top-spec S variant. Only the 2026 Yamaha Fascino S gets a new TFT instrument cluster for the first time, bringing turn-by-turn navigation feature.
2026 Yamaha RayZR
Updated Yamaha RayZR gets new colours too. Starting with standard RayZR, there are two variants – Drum and Disc. Base Drum is offered in just one Metallic Black colour, while Disc variant gets options like Metallic Black, Dark Matte Blue and Ice Fluo Vermillion. These variants do not get a TFT cluster, which is exclusively offered with Street Rally version.
Speaking of, RayZR Street Rally has two further variants – LCD and TFT. As the names suggest, LCD variant gets an LCD cluster and TFT gets a TFT cluster. Both variants can be had with Matte Black colour, but Ice Fluo Vermillion is only offered with LCD and Matte Titan is only offered with TFT.
Any other changes?
Other than the adding this new TFT cluster and updating the colour palette, both Fascino and RayZR are similar to their predecessors. Attributes like 21L storage, Starter Motor Generator (SMG), silent start, engine stop / start system, side stand engine cut off, LED headlights, front disc brakes, under 100 kg kerb weights and others are common between both bikes.
Also common is the same 125cc air-cooled engine with 8 bhp and 10.3 Nm, mated to a CVT gearbox. With the TFT cluster, Yamaha has increased the desirability of its 125cc scooters among tech-savvy riders. It has to be noted that TVS and Hero are yet to come up with single-piece TFT clusters while Honda and Suzuki have been offering it.
