Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the Rebel 300 cruiser in two variants. The Standard model is priced at Rs 2.22 lakh, while the E-Clutch variant costs Rs 2.62 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom, Bengaluru. Official bookings are open for Rs 5,000 through Honda’s website and BigWing dealerships. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in mid-October 2026.
Honda Rebel 300 – Engine and hardware
Rebel 300 is powered by a 286cc liquid-cooled engine. Honda has not disclosed the India-spec power and torque figures with the price announcement. Unlike some of Honda’s larger premium motorcycles sold in India, Rebel 300 will be manufactured locally. Local production has helped Honda introduce it at a starting price of Rs 2.22 lakh.
The motorcycle follows a low-slung bobber-inspired design with a compact fuel tank, exposed frame and extensively blacked-out components. Its low seat and relaxed riding position are intended to make cruiser ownership accessible to a wider range of riders.
Hardware includes an LED projector headlamp and disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. A TFT instrument console supports Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
What is Honda E-Clutch?
The top variant introduces Honda’s E-Clutch technology at a premium of Rs 40,000. The system allows riders to start, stop and change gears without manually operating the clutch lever.
Unlike a conventional automatic or DCT gearbox, E-Clutch retains the standard foot-operated gear shifter. Electronic actuators manage clutch engagement, reducing rider effort in traffic while preserving the involvement of changing gears manually.
The physical clutch lever is retained and can be used whenever the rider wants conventional control. This makes the system suitable for new riders as well as experienced motorcyclists who may prefer manual clutch operation in specific situations.
BigWing-exclusive cruiser
Rebel 300 will be available exclusively through Honda BigWing dealerships. It expands Honda’s lifestyle portfolio with a smaller and more accessible cruiser positioned below the company’s larger imported motorcycles. Reservations are now officially open nationwide, with customers able to select either the Standard or E-Clutch variant.
Aggressive pricing places Rebel 300 within reach of customers considering Royal Enfield’s popular 350cc motorcycles. While its low-slung bobber format is different, the Honda will compete for the same set of buyers looking for an accessible lifestyle motorcycle with strong brand appeal.
Starting at Rs 2.22 lakh, the locally manufactured Rebel 300 could give Honda a stronger opportunity in thissegment. Its distinctive styling, liquid-cooled engine, modern TFT console and optional E-Clutch technology provide meaningful differentiation from traditional retro roadsters.
