Imported from Japan as a CBU, Honda ZR-V e:HEV becomes the company’s new flagship offering in India
Honda Cars India has launched ZR-V e:HEV at an introductory price of Rs 47.99 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Deliveries have commenced from today, 25th July 2026. Honda says the initial response has been encouraging, with the first two batches allocated to India already booked. Globally, ZR-V has crossed cumulative sales of 8 lakh units since 2022.
184 PS Sports Hybrid
Powering Honda ZR-V is a 2.0-litre e:HEV Sports Hybrid system comprising a direct-injection Atkinson-cycle petrol engine and a dual-motor hybrid setup. Combined output stands at 184 PS and 315 Nm, paired with an e-CVT. The hybrid system switches between Electric, Hybrid and Engine Drive modes depending on driving conditions. Honda claims 22.8 km/l fuel efficiency, while 0-100 km/h takes a claimed 7.9 seconds.
We recently drove ZR-V at Buddh International Circuit (BIC), where its brisk acceleration and high-speed dynamics were among the highlights. Independent suspension at all four corners, relatively low 180 mm ground clearance and a sedan-like driving position contribute to its sporty character.
Features And Safety
Inside, ZR-V gets an all-black cabin with leather upholstery. There’s a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.
Other features include 12-speaker Bose audio, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, driver seat memory, regenerative braking paddles and a hands-free powered tailgate.
Rear seats get a 60:40 split function and maximum luggage capacity stands at 1,313 litres with the second row folded. Honda SENSING ADAS suite is standard and includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist and Road Departure Mitigation. ZR-V also gets 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Descent Control and front and rear parking sensors.
First Two Batches Already Booked
Honda ZR-V is available in four colours – Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl. Standard warranty is three years with unlimited kilometres, while extended warranty is available for up to seven years. Lithium-ion hybrid battery gets an 8-year / 1.60 lakh km warranty, while hybrid components are covered for 5 years / 1 lakh km.
