While Scorpio N facelift gets minor touchups across its exterior, there are some notable feature upgrades inside
Mahindra is working on the Scorpio N facelift, which could be introduced on 14th August. Recent spy shots have revealed the new model without any camouflage, showcasing clear details of the exterior and interior updates. Scorpio N is already a bestseller, and the facelift version is expected to build on that success, offering even more value for buyers.
Scorpio N facelift – Exterior updates
Front fascia of Scorpio N facelift remains largely unchanged. There appears to be some revision to the headlamp units, but it can’t be confirmed. Overall shape of the headlamp housing and the top mounted DRLs remain unchanged. The facelift continues with the vertically slatted grille design, scorpion tail-styled fog lamps and a rugged skid plate.
Side profile remains largely the same as earlier with the sole exception of new alloy wheels. These new dual-tone units have a more contemporary and rugged aesthetic. Other features such as body coloured ORVMs with integrated turn signals, blacked-out B and C pillars, conventional door handles, squared wheel arches and scorpion tail-styled window chrome garnish are the same as the current model.
At the rear, there could be some minor variations in the detailing. Most of the features such as vertically stacked tail lamps, prominent roof spoiler, shark fin antenna and a rear skid plate have been carried forward. It remains to be seen if some new colours are introduced with the facelift. The existing model offers a choice of five colour options.
New features
Scorpio N facelift gets an updated cockpit with a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument console. Both of these appear larger than the current units. They could be 10.25-inch screens, something similar to that of Thar Roxx. With the larger touchscreen, the AC vents have been moved down and are horizontally stacked.
Updates are also expected for the switchgear. The centre console remains largely unchanged. Scorpio N facelift continues with the dual tone brown and black interior colour theme. It is expected that the facelift could get a panoramic sunroof and some new additions to the Level 2 ADAS suite. Most other features are expected to be carried over.
Key highlights include front ventilated seats, Adrenox connectivity suite, GPS navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 12 speaker Sony audio system, wireless charger with active cooling, dual zone climate control and voice commands.
Same engines
Scorpio N facelift is expected to continue with the same powertrain options. The 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine generates 203 PS. Torque output is 370 Nm with the 6-speed manual and 380 Nm with the 6-speed automatic. The 2.2 litre diesel engine is offered in two states of tune, with the higher configuration generating 175 PS. Torque output is 370 Nm with the 6-speed manual and 400 Nm with the 6-speed automatic.
Scorpio N facelift will continue to be available with 4WD option with the diesel variants. Both 7-seater and 6-seater options will be available, just like the current model. With the updates, Scorpio N facelift could be offered at a slightly higher price. The current model is available in the price range of Rs 13.49 lakh to Rs 24.95 lakh. Scorpio N competes with rivals such as Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector.
