Skoda Auto India has introduced two new limited-edition dual-tone colour options for the Slavia Monte Carlo – Shimla Green and Steel Grey. Available in a production run of just 200 units, these special editions add more exclusivity to the sporty sedan. The new colours are available with both automatic powertrain options – the 1.0 TSI AT and the 1.5 TSI DSG. Apart from the fresh paint schemes, there are no changes to the equipment list or mechanical package.

New Colours For Slavia Monte Carlo

The Monte Carlo has always been positioned as the sportiest version of the Slavia, featuring blacked-out styling elements, black alloy wheels, Monte Carlo badging and a black-and-red themed interior. The addition of Shimla Green and Steel Grey in a dual-tone finish gives buyers two more distinctive options, while retaining the variant’s motorsport-inspired character.

Announcing the new editions, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said the Slavia Monte Carlo has been well received for its styling, premium appeal, driving dynamics and connection to the brand’s motorsport heritage. He added that the new colour options further enhance the individuality of the Monte Carlo range while giving customers more choice.

Engine Options Remain Unchanged

Mechanically, the Slavia Monte Carlo remains unchanged. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine develops 115 PS and 178 Nm, paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Buyers seeking more performance can opt for the 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol, which produces 150 PS and 250 Nm, coupled with a 7-speed DSG automatic.

The larger 1.5 TSI engine continues to stand out with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which deactivates two cylinders under light engine loads to improve fuel efficiency. It also features Plasma-Coated Cylinder Liners for better thermal management and reduced friction. Prices of the Slavia Monte Carlo 1.0 L TSI start from Rs 16.19 lakh while that of the 1.5 L TSI start from Rs 18.19 lakh, ex-sh.

Sales Avg Around 1,000 Units A Month

Over the past 3 months, the sedan has been averaging around 1,000 units per month, making it one of the stronger performers in the midsize sedan segment despite the continued market shift towards SUVs. With the Slavia facelift expected to launch in the coming weeks, the timing of these limited-run editions is noteworthy.

While Skoda has not officially linked the new colours to the upcoming facelift, manufacturers often introduce exclusive editions towards the end of a model’s lifecycle to keep buyer interest alive and help retail existing inventory. With only 200 units planned, these could well be among the final batches of the current Slavia Monte Carlo before the updated model arrives.
